Exceptional medicine,
a single point of contact.

Our commitment

One point of contact,
from the first assessment to treatment.

Geneses Clinic accompanies your entire health journey. Anticipating through prevention, diagnosing with rigour, treating by bringing together the specialists required: at every stage, we organise your care and the practical arrangements, so that you do not have to.

Our approach

Three stages, one standard.

I — Anticipate

Seeing it coming rather than enduring it

In-depth preventive medicine, with assessments that go well beyond a routine check-up, to act before disease takes hold, or as early as possible, in order to preserve your health capital.

II — Diagnose

Understanding, even when it is complex

Expertise that extends to complex situations. When a diagnosis is slow to emerge, we continue the investigations rather than stopping them.

III — Treat

The right specialists, perfectly coordinated

Coordination of the specialists required, at the right time, with continuity of follow-up from one appointment to the next.

Anticipate

In-depth integrative preventive medicine

Before illness arises, identifying risks as early as possible and preserving your health capital.

01

Nephrology

Kidney function as an early sentinel of cardiovascular and metabolic risk.

02

Internal medicine

An overall reading of the body, connecting signals before they become symptoms.

03

Geriatrics

Preserving autonomy and function over time, by acting upstream of decline.

04

Biology of ageing

Understanding the mechanisms of ageing in order to act at their source.

An approach grounded in science

The preventive approach of Geneses draws on scientific and clinical experience, notably in cardiovascular risk markers, antioxidant mechanisms, and the prevention of cognitive decline and cancers.

Each situation opens a field of possibilities of its own.

Your medical history, your assessment results, your needs and your objectives guide the therapeutic pathway and determine the approaches that may be meaningful for you.

The field of possibilities is vast. Some approaches can be integrated directly into your pathway; others draw on specialised expertise or collaborations. Among these possibilities is, notably, Inusphérèse® with the IN-300.

Your assessment determines what follows.

Prof. Dr. Thierry Dantoine
Medical lead

Prof. Dr. Thierry Dantoine

Nephrology · Internal medicine · Geriatrics · Biology of ageing · Preventive medicine

A career divided between clinical medicine and research, today devoted to prevention and to the management of complex situations.

The physician

Prof. Dr. Dantoine combines areas of expertise rarely found in a single practitioner: nephrology, geriatrics, internal medicine and intensive care. This breadth allows him to manage the most complex situations, in particular patients with several coexisting conditions. His knowledge of chronobiology, immunology, nutrition and hormonology also underpins the design of the prevention programmes.

The researcher

His research first focused on the biology of ageing, around two enzymes — paraoxonase 1 and butyrylcholinesterase — and their protective role against lipid peroxidation in vascular ageing; this work was published in leading international journals, including the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, and recognised with several prizes. His work then broadened to the prevention of cognitive decline and loss of autonomy, notably through his participation in the MAPT trial, published in The Lancet Neurology, as well as clinical research and innovation in care pathways, telemedicine included. Scientific collaborations and exchanges were notably developed with Prof. Lewis Lipsitz and the Institute for Aging Research in Boston, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. From the biology of ageing to integrative prevention, this continuity underpins the medicine practised here.

The clinic

A different idea
of medicine.

Geneses Clinic was born of a simple observation: too many health journeys amount to a series of disconnected appointments. We wanted a place where prevention, diagnosis and treatment are organised around one person — you — with the time and attention this requires.

Located in Montreux, between lake and mountains, the clinic offers a calm and discreet setting, conducive to unhurried care.

For healthcare professionals

A trusted partner for physicians
who refer their patients to us.

Referring a patient puts your own relationship of trust at stake. We are fully aware of that responsibility. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Dantoine, your patients are cared for as a complement to your follow-up, never as a replacement, with discretion and coordination.
